## October 2026

### 6 October 2026

#### Swagger API reference (feature)

Codebahn now has a built-in REST API reference. Browse available endpoints, parameters and response schemas from the Swagger UI.

[API reference](https://codebahn.net/api/swagger)

#### MCP tools for CI, releases and repo settings (cli)

The MCP server now covers CI secrets and variables, releases and tags, webhooks, branch protection, repo settings and repo conversion. This is the second pass of tool coverage.

[MCP server docs](/docs/mcp/)

#### Consolidated MCP tool registry (cli)

The MCP server groups its tools from 102 individual endpoints into 15 resource-scoped tools. AI coding agents see a cleaner tool list, and each tool accepts a subcommand parameter to select the operation.

## September 2026

### 30 September 2026

#### OpenTofu in the action mirror (feature)

The setup-opentofu action is now available in the action mirror. Reference it in your workflows the same way you would on GitHub.

[Action mirrors docs](/docs/action-mirrors/)

### 29 September 2026

#### iDEAL, PayPal and SEPA Direct Debit payments (feature)

You can now pay with iDEAL, PayPal or SEPA Direct Debit in addition to card. Select your preferred method during checkout or change it from the Billing tab.

[Billing docs](/docs/billing/)

### 23 September 2026

#### Test and source file grouping in diffs (feature)

Pull request diffs now classify files as test or source and group them in the file tree and diff pane. Source files appear first, tests below a divider. Toggle the grouping on or off from the toolbar.

#### CLI available on Windows (cli)

The CLI now ships Windows binaries for amd64 and arm64. The installer adds itself to PATH automatically.

[CLI docs](/docs/cli/)

#### Topic filter on repository pages (feature)

User and organization pages now show a pill bar of repository topics. Select a topic to filter the repository list.

### 22 September 2026

#### Automatic top-ups (feature)

Opt-in setting that buys top-up packs before you run out. Configure the pack count and a monthly maximum from the Usage tab. Off by default.

[Billing docs](/docs/billing/#automatic-top-ups)

#### Forgejo 15.0.9 (upstream)

Codebahn now runs on upstream Forgejo 15.0.9, carrying its fixes and security updates.

### 16 September 2026

#### OAuth client registration hardened (security)

Third-party MCP clients now identify themselves with a Client ID Metadata Document instead of open dynamic registration. Claude Code, Codex and VS Code connect as before; Cursor needs a personal access token until it supports CIMD. Thanks to Mamun Khanka for the report.

[MCP server docs](/docs/mcp/)

### 14 September 2026

#### HTTP/3 (feature)

QUIC is enabled on codebahn.net. Repeat visitors save 1-2 round trips on reconnect.

Push, pull, and clone operations are rate-limited per user over both HTTP and SSH.

[Plan limits docs](/docs/limits/)

#### Forgejo 15.0.8 (upstream)

Codebahn now runs on upstream Forgejo 15.0.8, carrying its fixes and security updates.

### 10 September 2026

#### CI minutes scale per seat (pricing)

Crew organizations now receive CI minutes per seat. A five-seat Crew gets 5,000 minutes per month.

[CI runners docs](/docs/ci-runners/)

#### First-party analytics (feature)

The analytics script is served through codebahn.net directly. No third-party domain is loaded.

#### Commit-level review tools (cli)

The MCP server and CLI gained `list_pr_commits`, `get_commit_diff`, and `compare_refs` for AI-assisted code review. Tools now declare whether they are read-only or destructive.

[MCP server docs](/docs/mcp/)

### 9 September 2026

#### Disposable email blocking (security)

About 4,000 disposable email domains and 15 high-abuse TLDs are blocked at signup.

#### Username rules (feature)

Three-character minimum. `mcp` and `demo` reserved.

### 2 September 2026

#### Action mirrors (feature)

Local mirrors of 15 popular GitHub Actions (checkout, setup-node, cache, Docker build, and more) synced daily. Opt in per workflow step to resolve actions from Codebahn instead of GitHub for faster, more reliable CI with no cross-border data flow.

[Action mirrors docs](/docs/action-mirrors/)

#### Solo perk for Crew members (pricing)

Crew organizations can sponsor a personal Solo account for every member at no extra cost. Members accept from their billing page and keep storage and CI on their personal account.

[Billing docs](/docs/billing/)

#### CORS on the REST API (security)

Browser-based integrations can call the Codebahn API from any origin. Token-gated, no credentials cross-origin.

[Cross-origin API access (CORS) docs](/docs/cors/)

[MCP server docs](/docs/mcp/)

#### GitHub App mirrors (security)

Mirror GitHub repos without managing a token. Install the Codebahn GitHub App, pick repos, and syncs mint short-lived credentials automatically. Existing token mirrors can convert to the GitHub App from mirror settings.
